Star-Spangled Decorating Contest

The Hamlin Herald will host its first Fourth of July home and business Star-Spangled decorating contest.

“We want to involve the community in a great patriotic spirit,” Herald Editor Tommy Wells stated.

The contest is free to enter and every home and business in Hamlin is eligible. The categories are Most Creative, Most Patriotic and Judges Choice. The prizes include yard-signs for the winners and a gift basket

Participants will have a photo of their decorations on the Hamlin Herald’s Facebook page and website along with their July 3rd edition . A map of all decorated locations will also be uploaded, so residents and visitors can tour the contest. Names will not be disclosed.
