Mary Lechuga Herrera passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 in Hamlin, Texas. Services will 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Funeral Home starting at 6:00 pm. 

Mary was born on December 7, 1937, in Spur, Texas to the late Manual Ruiz Lechuga Sr. and Maria Andrade Lechuga. Shewas a long-time resident of Hamlin, Texas. She worked as a farmer (plants and flowers) in Ohio. She was also a homemaker, as well as enjoying cooking, sewing, having family meals and family time. She gave her life to Christ on June 19, 1988, at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Hamlin Texas.

She leaves a cherished husband Jose “Alfonso” Concepcion Herrera- Lucio; two sons, John Jimenez III (Lucy) of Abilene, Texas and Joe Jiménez Sr of Abilene, Texas; two daughters Joanna Delarosa of Abilene, Texas and Sandra Marshall (Shelton) of Abilene, Texas.

She is survived by brothers, Jim Lechuga Sr. (Donna, deceased) of Altus, Oklahoma, Thomas Lechuga Sr. (Maria, deceased) of Eagle Pass, Texas, Frank Lechuga Sr. (Mary) of Stamford, Texas, Rudy Lechuga Sr. (Peggy) of Ceil, Ohio; sisters, Sarah Ledesma of Hamlin, Texas, Rosie Ortega (Raul) of Lawn, Texas, Josie Gonzalez (Richard, deceased) of Defiance, Ohio, Norah Ramos (Rudy, deceased) of Anson, Texas, Diana Ruiz of Hamlin, Texas; deceased brothers, Louis Lechuga Sr. (surviving sister-in-law, Mary), Raymond Lechuga Sr, (Santos, deceased), Manual Lechuga Jr. (Stella, deceased), Victor Lechuga Sr. (Linda), Jessie Lechuga Sr. (Elosie, deceased); deceased sister Helen Mchaney (Lupa, deceased); grandchildren, John Jimenez IV, David Jimenez, Joe Jimenez Jr. (deceased), Christopher Jimenez, Micheal Jimenez, Robert Jimenez, Stephanie Jimenez, Michael McGee, Bridgette McGee and Tiffany Yates; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
